Work Fun!

Sometimes at work, usually when someone leaves ( =[ ) I'm asked to draw a leaving present for them. This is always awesome and super fun, which almost makes me wish more people would leave. (Almost!!! I don't want to get lonely...)

Painting of a Body Paint...

Halloween fever gripped me (a little belatedly).

I'm going to buy some body paint soon, so was inspired to try out some ideas for future body paints =]
This was done in Acrylic. Soon it will be with Snazaroo or Diamond FX or whatever body paint I can afford. Happy Late Halloween everybody!

Here's a test illustration I did for Wyrd Games, (www.malifaux.com) and I suppose Kate's first foray into game concept art! Hopefully there will be more, but who knows. Fingers crossed! I think it would be awesome to get to draw game characters for a living. *adds to list of things to achieve*

Too much doodling from one of Ashley Wood's books has left me drawing nothing but sexy ladies recently. I guess it's not a bad thing, unless you are disgusted by them. Maybe I should try drawing a few robots too...

Painty painty paint

Hey internet. How's it going? Painting in Acrylic, 'cos I'm just not down with the oils thing. I think it's just the turps just scares me off... Anyway, this image has been in my sketchbook for a while now, and I finally turned it into a painting. Hurray! Really pleased with how it came out, and hopefully I'm gonna be doing some more painting in the near future whilst I'm looking for work.

TRUE LOVE in Photoshop!

I've been trying to brush up on my Photoshop skills, since I'm much more comfortable painting, uh... normally... rather than digitally. This is the first thing I've inked in Photoshop too, which was surprisingly fun! I'm pretty happy with it, I've learnt a lot about blending and making custom brushes. Next time I'll try to do something with stronger lighting and more texture I think, but for now, I'm happy with my improvements. Peace out!
