Sometimes at work, usually when someone leaves ( =[ ) I'm asked to draw a leaving present for them. This is always awesome and super fun, which almost makes me wish more people would leave. (Almost!!! I don't want to get lonely...)

HOWDY HEY! Been trying to learn this whole new-fangled 'Digital Painting' I've heard so much about. I'm talking no pencil lines in the finished product, just like... full on digital...stuff. Ahem.

I watched a few tutorials for this, the most useful one was mostly about how much you can edit brushes and what all the different doofers in the brush settings do. It took me until I was about 15 hours in to figure out how to make the brushes work for me in a way I could control and do half-decently. When I got over that hurdle, things began to speed up and get fun, which is like... whooo!! I've got my WIPs all up in here. I think they're interesting, because I like seeing progress mostly! Also I'm really glad I didn't go for the crazy Gaga flamethrower boobs I had drawn in the first sketch... baby steps...

TRUE LOVE in Photoshop!

I've been trying to brush up on my Photoshop skills, since I'm much more comfortable painting, uh... normally... rather than digitally. This is the first thing I've inked in Photoshop too, which was surprisingly fun! I'm pretty happy with it, I've learnt a lot about blending and making custom brushes. Next time I'll try to do something with stronger lighting and more texture I think, but for now, I'm happy with my improvements. Peace out!

Some stuff I found hanging around my computer that I'd finished during the No Internet period. The second one was inspired by Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip's second (and very cool) album, The Logic Of Chance. Got to see then in Bristol not too long ago, such wondrous gentlemen. =]
